On 8 November 2021, Associate Professor Dr. Manit Jumpa, Distinguished Member of the University Council, STOU Acting President presided over the ceremony to pay homage to His Majesty King Prajadhipok (King Rama VII) Royal Monument in the STOU Rajamangalaphisek Education Park on his birthday. Sukhothai Thammathirat Open University was named in honor of King Prajadhipok (King Rama VII), who once held the title “Prince Sukhothai Thammaracha” prior his accession to the throne.
The ceremony was also joined by the executives, faculty members and staff of STOU under COVID-19 precautions and preventive measures.
